About the gala
Throughout its nearly 30-year history, the Never Give Up Gala has been a celebration of the way our community comes together to support vulnerable children, young people and families. An elegant, elevated experience, the gala features sponsors who support Wood’s Homes, programs where those we support can thrive, and new initiatives to add more to our services. A beautiful, four-course formal dinner and silent auction adds to the celebration, followed by heartfelt words from those we serve, an exciting live auction, and music and dancing.

Wood’s Homes is a mental health organization, serving children, young people and their families so they can thrive in their community. We offer over 40 programs across Alberta, ranging from campus-based, live-in services to in-home support for families whose children are facing mental health challenges. We also work hard to make sure counselling is accessible in our community. Through our Calgary Public Library Wellness Desks and the Eastside Community Mental Health Centre – we offer free crisis counselling. Eastside will even accommodate those seeking help through a chat or text, and provide counselling services in multiple languages.
